Donetsky Kryazh landscape park

The Park was named after the highest mountain chain of the oblast – Donetsky Kryazh. The most important site here is the legendary Saur-Mohyla peak, where one of the most violent battles of the World War II took place. Thousands of people come to pay tribute to the soldiers, who gave their lives for the freedom of Donbass.
The observation deck at the top of Donetsk Kryazh gives an awesome view of the territory, which is a blend of steppe, forests, fields and settlements along the river banks.
The park targets both to preserve natural landscapes and endangered species and create favourable conditions for tourism and recreation.
