Kleban Byk landscape park

The park is a unique piece of wild nature known for its amazing history and wildlife. Millions of years ago a warm sea covered this area. The rocks and stones still feature prints of ancient plants and shellfish.

The name of the Park is linked to the history of Zaporizhia Cossack State, who had a military post here. Apparently, “Kleban Byk” means “a pit filled with water” and indeed the Park can boast of unrivalled water resources. No wonder that the place is a hit for local fishers. Kleban Byk has marvelous scenery inhabited by over 25 endangered species of plants and animals, which is absolutely exceptional for the centre of a bustling industrial region.
