International Women’s Day

The International Women’s Day is marked on 8 March as the first spring holiday. Observed since 1966, the day is much loved by women and men. The celebrations resemble the modern Mother’s Day but without the motherhood concept. Men give flowers and small gifts to the women in their lives: mothers, wives, girlfriends, daughters, colleagues, etc. Parties are organized across Ukraine ranging from minor sessions to grand quality events. If you happen to be in Ukraine and wish to make someone a present, try to think it over at least a week in advance. The prices normally soar on 5-7 March and remain high until 9 March.
