Climate and temperature

Climate in Donetsk is moderate continental. Winters can be cold with average temperature of 10-15°C. The city lies in a steppe, so different winds can move freely contributing to quick weather changes. The coldest time is the end of January through the end of February. Warm weather typically comes in late April and stays until the end of September. Summers can be hot, especially in July and August. Average temperature in summer is 20-24°C, but can hike to even 40°C.
