By bus

Only few international bus routes terminate in Donetsk. Most of them arrive at Yuzhniy bus station (rus. Yuzniy vokzal), just a 20-minute’s walk to the centre. Plenty of drivers offer their services at the exit. Their price is relatively high and depends on the destination and paying capacity of the traveler. The normal fare to get to the downtown is $2 (UAH 15 - rus. pyatnadtsat griven). If you don’t have much luggage, a marshrutka No.10 (UAH 1.5) or a trolley-bus No.10 (UAH 1) is the best option. A trip will take you about 10 minutes.

If you arrive in Donetsk from another Ukrainian city, you’ll probably terminate at Putilovkiy bus station (rus. Putilovskiy Vokzal). A taxi to the downtown will cost about $2.5-3.5 (UAH 20-30) and take about 20-30 minutes. Marshrutkas No. 25, 73 will bring you to the centre in 30-40 minutes at 1.5 (about $ 0.20). A trip in a trolley-bus will cost UAH 1 ($0.12) and take 40 minutes.

Some express coaches may stop at Donetsk Railway or near Donetsk Circus. Ask your coach operator or driver for exact information.
